During last couple of months I have been learning to use information technology for sport psychology practice purposes. I think for some people it might come naturally, but I have to admit that I am not one of them. It took me a lot of time and effort to learn use basic video making softwares. Although, I managed to do a little introduction video about Mental Asset. You can check it out from the ABOUT section of this webpage. All in all, I can see a lot of possibilities in future, how can you take the mental performance coaching to another level with information technology. For example, it can be a huge advantage in situational psychobiosocial states recall. Thus, recording a performance situation, and asking the performer what were the thoughts, feelings, sensations and relative behavioural cues in a specific situation? With the assistance of audiovisual material, these recalls can become more accurate, and that way the tools or psychological skills can be targeted more accurately. I have to say, that information technology is progressing in an extremely fast manner, and it can be used for highly functional purposes. Therefore, we in sports industry, need to stay updated with the most recent development and take an advantage out of them. I'd guess my next task will be to get some more social media coverage, as it has grown to be one of the most effective advertisement techniques nowadays...
